It's
raining softly
and
ever so quietly
outside my bedroom windows this morning
within
each tiny raindrop
my heart can
hear
the promise of springtime.
The garden heard it
and
so did the birds in the trees
even
Punxsutawney Phil
was
awakened
by
the sound of the promise.
Did you hear it, too?

No, It is howling with six inches of snow here. Carla Bruni really is good. Has her own, unique style.
ReplyDeleteDear Dotti ~ I hope spring happens for you soon. It's been a rough winter for so many.
ReplyDeleteGentle rain, a gentle dove and lovely blooms. God's blessings abound.
Have a wonderful week ~ FlowerLady
I really enjoy your blog! Today's song was a wonderful touch. I loved it! We have lots of snow here too (expecting more on Wednesday...ugh!). Spring will be here soon! ♥
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the song you included in today's post. We have had a very gentle winter thus far, but they are predicting huge snow storms on Tuesday and Friday of this week!

ReplyDeleteYes, it will arrive, all in good time. I know so many will be thrilled to let go of winter's cloak.
ReplyDeleteHi Dottie!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!
Such beautiful images ... I love mourning doves.

I am so longing for spring, Dottie! Our rain yesterday was freezing sleet and not the sort that brings Spring any closer. But it was lovely to find spring here in your blog. That little dove is adorable! Wishing you a lovely weekend.
