Thinking On Lovely

Each
February day
seems
to last
as
long as a thousand years
as
I wait for springtime!

What have you been doing these long winter days?
Smiles,
Dottie

  1. What wonderful photos, but that last one of the moon is absolutely amazing. How did you do that?

What a great selection of books you have too and I'm sure that's just a drop in the bucket.

  2. I know you are anxious for spring. Right now in my life I am wishing time would slow down a bit. The key is for me to take what is and be content. We are given the number of minutes each day that we need! As always, such beautiful photos. The moon ....

  3. What pretty fading roses with only the slightest touch of pink. Perfection.
I planted chard seeds today and yes, I will welcome spring, and hoping for lots of rain.

  4. What a delightful assortment of books, Dottie! I have the same copy of The Rubiyat (a gift to me long ago) and your Great Gatsby looks like mine too, I adore Rebecca, one of mom's favorites Sonnets from the Portuguese ... I don't think I have that Susan Branch, how could I have missed it? And I'm charmed by the title "Whoa Matilda!", too cute. Hoping the long days of February will perhaps pass quickly for you while being transported by some good books!
Love the wonderful vintage photo, what a fantastic hat!

  5. We have many of the same books, but somehow that doesn't surprise me. Another lovely post that makes one realize how much beauty there is in the world ~ thank you.

  7. Your bulbs are almost at the best part! I love how you got such detail on the moon picture. We are buried in snow and spend our days inside reading and writing, also looking out the window for new birds, they are slowly returning to the area. I am waiting to see the bluebirds!

  8. How come I seemed to have missed the Can't-Wait-For-Spring gene?????

Oh yes, I will get tired of cold/snow/ice. Of course I will.

But it doesn't really translate into.... Can't-Wait-For-Spring.

Perhaps because I'm not a gardener? Perhaps because hot Summer follows on the heels of Spring? I don't know. I don't know. But I do feel like odd-woman-out in blogging... When all the ladies are into Can't-Wait-For-Spring.

    :-))))
