Just Perfect ...Well Almost

It is July and hot along the Texas Gulf Coast
very, very hot!

Sweet friend and I decided to escape the heat
and spend some time at the beach.

The moment we planted our chairs in the sand at the edge of the water
we
both turned to each other and said, "Who turned the air conditioner on?"

The breeze was perfect
and
the gumbo and oyster po-boys at the Black Pearl were even better!

We discovered a cozy used book store
to get lost in for hours
and
a magical secret garden to our delight!!

It was perfect, just perfect!!

Well
 it was almost perfect.
I
forgot how very hot the sun is in the blue Texas sky
and
today I am red, very red.

  10. Being a redhead with pale skin means I avoid the sun a great deal - I know how painful sunburn can be :-(
I hope you heal up quickly, Dottie!
But it does sound like you had a lovely day :-)

"I go to the sea to breath".

  18. Sounds like such a restful day (except the sunburn). I had one too, just recently. NO FUN! I'm linking up to Simple Pleasures today too. It has been so long since I linked. I've been missing visits and sharing. Trying to do better, waiting for the busy summer to slow.
