Summer Bliss

I am in slow down mode

following after the days and nights
catching moments of summer bliss wherever I find it.

Life feels so right in this magical, summery month of July.

Addie in her garden party dress looking too sweet to frighten the birds in the fig tree away
golden kissed Saint Pierre tomatoes....almost too lovely to eat
ripe mangoes with lime, in salsa, and just by themselves, for breakfast, lunch and  anytime in between, hopefuly every July day while they cost only one dollar for 4! Oh My!!!
waving the red, white and blue
watching the antics of a silly brown pelican who looks like he has a mohawk in Clear Lake
I wonder if this is a stairway to heaven or just the entrance to a rabbit hole

It is very hot at this moment
my eyes are  wide open to the windows of summer .

  1. It IS time to enjoy those beautiful mangos at 4 for $1!! That is a great deal! Your summer is sounding wonderful. blessings ~ tanna

  2. You seem to know how to enjoy summer, no matter how hot it is. "My eyes are wide open to the windows of summer." Love your poetic voice! And your pictures.

  3. Have some mangoes for me, dear Dottie!
They're my favourite fruit and I'm a little jealous that you're buying 4 for $1 - a girl could could mad with joy!lol!
I'm so glad you are enjoying your lovely summer, my friend :-)

  4. Dear Dottie,

Wow, enjoy those wonderful mangoes; what a delight! Your blog makes my mouth water. :) We have some green tomatoes who are slowly getting bigger each day, but I'm glad that yours are already on for you.

Summer is a wonderful wonderland, isn't it? We are loving the fireflies and treefrogs here in Missouri, that we didn't have in Idaho. Plus is SO green with all the heat and rain!

    Love and blessings,

  5. Dottie,
I love your slow-down mode and it makes me want to do the same. I do like mangos and now I wonder why I don't eat them more often. Your tomatoes look lovely and I could eat them right off the vine. Simply a summery pleasure.

  6. Wow, your sky shot is incredible!

  7. One of the best things about summer is the fresh fruits and veggies! So flavorful! Love your photo of the sky! I'm always looking up! ♥

  8. What a great post. I can almost smell the salt air and taste those delicious fresh veggies.
    Have a great Thurssday

  9. Hi Dottie.....Enjoyed your WONDERFUL photos. Great job. Ohhhhh, my oh my oh my. Mangoes for 4 for a dollar? That's INCREDIBLE. Yummy yum yum. I love mangoes and they are SO expensive here.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and commenting too. Loved your visit. Come by any time. Susan

  10. Love mangoes, the scent of a nice ripe one brings back fond memories of Cuba. Have you ever tried a mango smoothy? Yummy

Love the photo of your garden lady, your right much too pretty to frighten any bird.
