Sometimes there are no words for the joy of God's blessings
This week has been a week like that .
This week has been a week like that .
My week has been filled with discomfort and toothache pain .
After visiting the dentist and taking medication for the infection the dentist said
" The tooth can not be saved and it must be removed !!! "
Oh my goodness !!!
The moment he said the word removed I was filled with anxiety .
Last night we had a thunderstorm and I could not sleep .
As I was listening to the rain I heard the Lord whisper
to me
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
I remembered the sweet song
Count Your Blessings One By One
and
I started counting all
that He had blessed me with
and
it was too lovely for words .
A Holy Experience-Because All Of Life Flames With God
I know God lead me there
for
it is a blessing and altogether lovely to my heart
and
you my sweet friend are a blessing....

Your writing always makes me feel at peace...I hope your dental troubles are behind you and that it didn't cause you too much discomfort.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment regarding my daughter--she is doing well...Kate
We have much in common as we journey to the same places in life...the dentist...ann voskamp's...elizabeth's...being a grandma while grandpa lives with JESUS...GOD bless you Dottie
ReplyDeleteHope this finds you doing better. Am guessing that you can not complete the dental work until the infection has cleared. The dentist office - not my favorite place; but so glad to have a good dentist when you need one.
ReplyDeleteIt is just like you - not to dwell on the bad, but to be thankful for the good things.
I pray you are doing better now!! Blessings to you.....

ReplyDeleteToothache pain is the worst and I'm hoping that by now the infection has cleared up and you are on the mend. It is so true that it is best when we cast our cares on Him. Love your Simple Pleasures post (and pictures, too).

First, let me say that I totally get the tooth ache anxiety! I would have done the same thing. I hope that I would have also done what you did and cast my cares on Him.
ReplyDeleteI sure loved your blessings that you counted here for us! Plus, I have visited that website and felt that God had his hand on the keyboard for me, too.
Great simple pleasures.
And I hope the tooth situation got better!
And HE led me to read this today. I'm counting.
