Such A Pretty Week

My sweet friend had a birthday .
Our weather has been so pleasant and there are so many things we have been wanting to do .
We decided to celebrate all week !!

Friday night we filled a picnic basket
fruit, cheese, baguettes and a bottle of red wine .
We sat under a clear sky with a very full moon
were thrilled by the music of Benise's Spanish Guitar .
It was a magical night !
The only thing missing was a falling star .

I have been thinking about going to France again
the time is not right !

So we went to Bistro Les Amis and pretended we were in France !

Oh My !
 il etait celeste !!

It was a pleasure to be part of my friend's special birthday .

We have been friends for many years in the
good times and the not so good times .

Oil and perfume rejoice the heart; so does the sweetness of a friend's counsel that comes from the heart. Proverbs 27: 9

I am linking to Thursday's Simple Pleasures .

  4. So glad that you had a magical evening with your friend! I dream of going to France or Italy or Greece or London.....I love them all so much....wish I could get my husband on board with any of these.....

  5. How elegant! Sounds like a perfect way to spend a birthday with a friend! ♥

  6. True Friends are worth more than silver and gold for sure. So glad you treated yourself to a bountiful booty of jewels.

  7. Hi, Dottie!

So thrilled to have you visit my blog. Sounds like we have a few things in common =)

What a wonderful time you had with your friend. My best friends are my sisters. We can't be together too often because of distance but when we are.....such good times!

I will visit again....I hope you will check in again too.

  8. Music, a star filled night, good food, and time spent with a good friend - sounds pretty good.
We had more trick-or-treaters this year than last, but still about ten total. Our neighborhood is older than some, and I think that a lot of the kids have grown up and are on there on. We are starting to have new, younger couples move in. That might mean our halloween visitors will grow in numbers again.
I always buy candy that I like, hoping to have some left over.

  9. Dottie, to sit and bask in the Lord's gentle moonlight with music and a dear friend, was a special grace for you both! Sounds like a beautiful evening indeed. Did you take the wonderful moon photo? It's lovely. blessings..Trish

  10. Sounds like a lovely evening with your friend!!!

I must tell you, I am on a HUGE France kick right now. I want to go to France...particularly the Riviera...SO badly. Hubby's and my silver anniversary is coming up in February, so I was thinking that would be a great destination for a trip...alas, though, such a trip is definitely NOT in the budget. Maybe we can get there for our 30th!!!

I hope you get your trip to France soon.

    Hugs and blessings,
