I have wanted to go to the Round Top Antique show for a long time .
It has been three years since my last visit and I think I have antique withdrawal !
So when I told my daughter-in-law she said,"Let's go ."
The weather was just perfect. Not too hot or too cool .
We saw many wonderful treasures .
I looked for a vintage sign to add to the ones hanging on my fence
surrounding the garden .
Lisa wanted to add to her Fiesta ware .
There where tents, tables of antiques.yummy things to eat,and people everywhere !!!
It was also a little overwhelming and very expensive
but
I can not think of anything better than spending an entire day with
my son and his sweet family .
I think my antique withdrawal is over
until
the spring show !!

I must check out Round Top....sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAntiques or not, it looks like a wonderful day with your kids!
ReplyDeletePretty family, pretty day. Hope the little ones did not get too pretty tired.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin used to collect Fiesta ware and then she found out that the ones she had were from a time that there was iron in the glaze (or something harmful). She now displays them only. The later ones are okay to use. I am repeating my cousin, and I do remember some news about this several years ago, but I do not know if it proved to be correct.
We are finally having cool days as well as nights. I love fall, but I do look forward to the cold days of winter. I love being in the sun on a cool day. It feels like a soft warm blanket thrown across you.
Glad you had a fun time, too!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your weekend was much like mine. The only difference is I was in North TX in Canton. We had great weather too. Did you find any bargains?
ReplyDeleteI must tell you that your post made me a bit envious. I am not yet a mother-in-law, but I AM a daughter-in-law...and I have the best MIL on the entire planet. We used to LOVE going shopping together...but since we don't live near one another right now, that just isn't happening. And I really miss those days!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks and sounds like y'all had a great time.
Blessings,
Patti
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Family, sunshine and cool weather, seeing things you enjoy... and, spending time with the grands trumps ALL of that! =)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a perfect day! And it's so great to spend time with our family...the best of times! I sure hope you feel better soon! Are you reading a good book today...and drinking hot tea? I'm having cinnamon apple tea right now! Wish I could share some with you! ♥
ReplyDeleteDottie,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE flea markets and could just look and look and look some more! My daughter and I share this Simple Pleasure. Glad you had a good time!

ReplyDeleteI'm a browser, but haven't been in years! This just gave me the itch. I love your simple pleasure, and that lunch table looks so full of love! Glad you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteDear sweet friend,
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you enough how your kind comments were the sweetest medicine for what my aching heart was going through. I treasure your prayers and friendship…bunches!
I have shaken off the dust and I am dancing again….even if it’s a slow dance, I’m dancing!
Thank you again, and again.
Love you,
Rayanne
How simply fun! Beautiful family!
