Where did July go? It is already the first day of August!
It is so very hot. but also so lovely!
Have you been watching Venus as she rises and sets in the early evening sky? She is very bright and large.
Stargazing is beautiful in the summer.
Last night while I was stargazing I heard the midsummer song of the cicadas in the trees
a summer symphony by what seemed like a hundred frogs.
It was glorious!!
Yesterday morning very early I took my iced coffee out on the patio to enjoy. The Crepe Myrtle tree was covered with butterflies, birds were at the feeder, a squirrel was in the pine tree and I saw a tiny green hummingbird enjoying the morning.
God is so good!
I am going to savor every moment left of summer. I am going to
look at seed catalogs, plant my fall garden,
make pesto from my zillion basil plants,
stay up late and sleep in,
watch the moon and stars,
watch for bats in the bat house in the pine tree,
make shrimp scampi
go to farmer markets.
