A Glimse Into My World

Here are some of the happy things in my world.

I adore vintage clothes!!!

I love to open my closet door each morning and see rows of pastel colors, lace, silk and tulle.

Do I wear them?
No
but Addie does !!!

Addie in the garden.

I don't wear these either
but
I so love looking at them !!!

Some of these brooches were my Grandmother's and her Mother's.
Some I found here and there.

A new to me blue bowl in the roses.

A Blue Jay feeds here everyday.

I love this little cement garden gnome brought at an estate sale many years ago.

A disco ball swinging from a pine tree limb over my garden.

It looks so lovely in moonlight.

  4. What a lovely post, Dottie. So many pretty things.
The cameos are beautiful, and you never wear them. I have about 5 cameo pieces that came from my father's family. I do wear one of the rings sometimes, but I want to have the other pieces checked to be sure they are still mounted securely.
Are you not tempted to wear any of the clothes? One of those dresses, a nice glass of wine and that sunset. oh my! I hope Addie knows how lucky she is, but I think you are spoiling her.
I really like the idea of the disco ball gracing your yard. I have a verdigris finished chandelier that I found in a garage sale. My idea was to put candles where the bulbs are and hang it in my yard, but I have not found the right tree limb to use. They are either way too high or the tree is just to small.
Maybe you will show us a picture of your yard from a distance so we can see how it all comes together.
I am leaving in the morning for a long weekend. I hope you have a nice weekend.

Your things are so pretty. I love the vintage clothes. Addie is awesome! I can't believe you had the same vintage baby card-that's the second person who said they had one of them. Kind of amazing isn't it? Have a great week.
