Happy St. Patrick's Day
(well almost)
I will give you a clue as to why this day is so special at my house!
My
Dad and my brother are both named
Patrick Gordon
and
my son
John Patrick....
This week has been simply happy, nothing planned,
slipping slowly from one day to the other
taking me with it.
If you came to visit with me
and
could not find me
I was.......
looking for four leaf shamrocks
slipping slowly from one day to the other
taking me with it.
If you came to visit with me
and
could not find me
I was.......
looking for four leaf shamrocks
I
have not found one
but
I did find a gnome in the herb garden...
baking
lucky charm cookies
I
don't know if they are lucky
but
they are magical ..... they keep disappearing...
at
at
the library looking for a book that would give me an idea
how
to save my valentine roses and not finding one.
I should have looked in my bookcases first!
Can you guess what I made from the rose petals ?

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute cookie idea for St. Patrick's Day!!! I don't think my hubby will go for corned beef and cabbage but I'd like to try a good Irish Stew. We'll see...By the way, love your little garden gnome. :)
ReplyDeleteThe potpourri is beautiful! What a wonderful idea to keep it. I'm always surprised at how fragrant the petals are for a long time! Enjoy your weekend my friend! Sweet hugs!

How I love coming to visit you! You are always as sweet, pretty, whimsical, magical as your delightful Icon picture. How lucky the people around you are, to have you in their life.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, can my husband come over for dinner on St. Patrick's Day? He loves Corned Beef and Cabbage. But he's the only one. Since he is the "Resident Chef", he will make it. Or, perhaps we will go out and have it somewhere. :-)
I don't need to wish you any Happppppy Wishes. You seem to live in them. Or you simply choose to do so. Either way, it is certainly good for your body and soul. To cultivate such a lovely attitude. If you could "bottle it," the how-to-do-it, you could make millions. :-)
Gentle hugs,
Tessa~
What another lovely post from you dear Dottie. I always leave here refreshed from the beauty in pictures and words.
ReplyDeleteI grows those Oxalis too and just love seeing them every spring. Have your ever found 4 leaves in these?
Those cookies are CUTE!
Have a wonderful weekend ~ FlowerLady
Maybe you just needed a visit to the library. I love going there just to be amongst so many books. I don't always leave with a book but just enjoy the visit.

ReplyDeleteI won't be having corned beef, Dottie, but I did make a stew last night and will have it tonight with some crusty bread and red wine. Your cookies looked delicious. I baked cookies this weekend, too... oatmeal with coconut, chocolate chips and walnuts. By the way, I keep meaning to tell you that I have same "Silver Pennies" book as you.... it belonged to my aunt. Wishing you a Happy St. Patrick's Day and hoping your potpourri turns out well. xx
