A Sunday Kind of Day

a lovely lavender blue kind
of day
spent at my brother's home
on the water
gathered around our 89 year old Mom.

I am the oldest of nine children

we have been so blessed to still have our Mom.

I am linking to A Favorite Thing.

  1. She is very beautiful and has such a lovely smile! What a wonderful day! Sweet hugs!

  2. You are very blessed to have her for your mom... and she is very blessed to have you, Dottie.

  3. Oh, God bless your sweet Mum, Dottie. She's quite a lady. Loved your photos and the photos in your last post, too. They were dreamy.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and commenting, too. So nice to have you visit. Susan

  6. You are blessed having your mom and she is blessed having you. Your mom looks kind and loving and the color of her outfit suits her well.

Love and hugs to you both ~ FlowerLady

  7. Day with Mom, on the water, with family - sounds pretty great.

  8. How wonderful- Happy Mother's Day!

  9. Lovely! Lovely Mom, lovely day, lovely mood, lovely collage.

  10. Dottie, she looks so precious, and yes, you are blessed to still have her. My mother has been gone for 23 years this week, and I miss her every day and give thanks for the wonderful mother she was to each of us. And my dad, too. They were a true blessing.

Glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day, and nine children? Wow1 My best friend's mom had severn, and I loved going to their house. There was always so much going on there.

Dropping by from Claudia's party and enjoyed you sharing your mom with us.

  11. Nine children? How did she survive? Tee hee! Nice family!

  12. Happy belated Mothers Day to you and your dear Mom, Dottie! She's darling, looks so contented and happy. I miss my mom so much ... can't believe she's been gone nearly 17 years now.

    Happy weekend to you!

  13. Your mother is beautiful, Dottie. She looks very happy to be surrounded by her loved ones. Nine children? She deserves an award!

Thanks so much for joining in this week.

  14. With a mom at 84, I feel so lucky too! What a beautiful post and I can see you enjoyed a lovely day!

  15. Your mom has such a sweet face! I envy you being one of nine children. I am an only child and often feel sad that I never had brothers and sisters. You are a lucky girl!

    Big Hugs,
    Susan and Bentley

  16. I come from a family of nine children too, but I am number six! Family get-togethers are always very noisy and happy occasions. Both my parents are in their 80's and still living independently. Your mum looks a lot like mine!
Have just found your blog, and looking forward to reading more!

  17. How wonderful, Dottie! You are indeed so blessed to still have your mother. I hope you had a beautiful day together.

  18. How beautiful Dottie!
Moms are the sweetest...so glad you had such a great day with your mom and family!

    All my heart,
    Deborah xoxo
