Summertime
It
begins for me as soon as
it's
safe to plant all the wonderful vegetables
that
taste of summer.
I have waited for the days to grow longer and hotter.
At last it's time to be outside
to
go barefoot
and
celebrate the sun.
“it's a smile, it's a kiss, it's a sip of wine ... it's summertime!”

ReplyDeleteI'm still reveling in springtime. It will be a couple of months before I enjoy a fresh picked tomato, but I spotted some blossoms today. That's a promising sign!

Good Morning Dottie, Your photographs have me longing for warmer days.... to eat freshly picked tomatoes would be such a treat.
ReplyDeleteWe have to wait a little longer for the warmer weather, so I will enjoy your photographs to remind me of things to come.
