The wind has been frightful
the
rain very heavy
but
sometime in the middle of the night
it
changed into
a
whisper of a lullaby
and
woke the flowers up!
I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.

I found this post from Mockingbird Hill Cottage, and once it went to this site, I realized I end up visiting you often. Such wonderful things you have, and I especially like your poetic way!
ReplyDeleteI'm becoming a regular visitor of yours!
I am despairing of ever seeing Spring arrive. It snowed all day today and is supposed to snow tomorrow, too. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWe have a lots of wind ... and dust. We started Spring Break this way and seems we are ending that way, too. Back to school tomorrow. :/ Beautiful flowers where you are. Have a great weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteAlot of wind here as well on many a day. Our April is more like March.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Our weather this week has been a bit frightful too!
ReplyDeleteAh. Such pretty flowers! We've had a lot of wind and rain this week as well. Today, thank goodness, looks like it will be dry. I love the poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay - I tend to be that way. I don't pick my flowers, just enjoy them blooming in the garden.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in this week1

Your flowers are lovely. I hope you have a glorious weekend. Bonnie
ReplyDeleteWhat poetry! And beautiful flowers! We are at the "height" of spring now and thankfully a cooler day today to slow things down!
ReplyDeleteLove the poetry and flowers. Our spring is late this year. Next Friday will be 29 deg. at night. Wonder what summer will bring?

Love the poem and it is a perfect verse for your flower mosaic - so beautiful Dottie!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me what the two pink flowers are please?
Spring and the arrival of fragrant blooms is one of my favorite things too!

Poetry and flowers - it doesn't get much better than that.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of her poetry! The wind has been horrid here. I had errands to run today and felt so exhausted just trying to fight the wind in the parking lots between stops. Let's hope for better weather ahead.
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Lovely, lovely, lovely.
