Rest

I have been thinking
about
the word rest
and
what a beautiful gift it is.

I am recovering from pneumonia.

My grandmother called the time after an illness when the body heals
convalescence.

I have been moving slowly from one resting place to another
being
gentle with myself, as she would of said.

My grandmother was so right!

Convalescence is a gift of quite beauty.

  1. You just have to rest it out and take your meds. I have had two mild cases, both at this time of year. That's is odd when you think of pneumonia as being a cold weather illness.

  2. Dottie, I love your comfy resting places especially the swing.

  3. I would definitely get better in those spots. Some hot lemonade made with honey and real lemons and a stack of magazines and some Nyquil will keep you from doing too much. Get well!
