The Music Of The Night

Yesterday

the sun was shining in the blue sky
and
the day looked so bright and beautiful.

While

I was watching the white clouds drift by

suddenly

I saw a small dark rain cloud appear

and
it stopped right over me ....sigh.....

I thought it was going to stay around  a while
but
  someone special
said

"Will you come with me? I know a place
where
rain clouds are not allowed!"

Under a dark sky with
the stars looking down at me
I
watched ballerinas float across a dark stage
like
butterflies to the music of the night.
I watched in awe
the fairytale of Giselle.

Later
as I drifted off to sleep
with
the vision of the ballerinas in my mind
I thanked
God
 for a special someone
who
chases away the rain clouds.
