Life As It Is

This has been a very simple week
filled
with the simplest of pleasures.

The days have been very cold
and
the nights freezing
at least to this warm weather girl.

The soup kettle is always simmering
and
I have been cozy warm in my mixed matched layers
of
treasured warm flannels and fuzzy striped socks.

 made so much carrot juice
I am surprised I have not turned orange!

 rearranged the pantry
and
now it does not look like the lost and found!

found two cauliflowers in the row of collard greens.
I guess the plants were  mislabeled at the garden shop.
What a lovely surprise!!!

thought about the two beautiful glasses I found at the thrift shop last summer
and
decided last night to fill them with
frozen
mango margaritas
leaf though the spring seed catalogs
and
dream.

Not about spring
but
about three snow loving bunnies!!!!

  2. What a lovely post about a lovely week! I like the image of a pantry looking like the lost and found--ha ha that would be mine! January definitely inspires us to clean such places a bit!

Hope this next week is every bit as wonderful as this past one!
