Fall Is Somewhere

Fall is somewhere
but
not here.

I have one foot in summer
and
the other in fall.

Today it was 98 degrees in my back yard.

I feel a lot like my fruit bowl looks!

All mixed up!!!

 It may feel like summer
but
I have had many reminders that it
is
Sweet September!

Oh my goodness ! Petra turned 4
and
became a baker and party planner
with the help of her Easy Bake Oven!!!

Dax started kindergarden
and
he told me the things he really likes
are
his lunch and three recesses.

To the delight of my heart the sound of the high school marching band
has been drifting into my back yard!
Many years ago I marched to the rhythm of the band.

I have been up very late gazing at the moon.
It has been rising around midnight.

Oh what beauty!!
The lovely golden color of the harvest
and
now the planet Jupiter is brightly shining to the right of it in the southeastern sky!

coconut, bananas, cantaloupe, avocados and oranges

Living in this mixed up season
except
for the heat
has been filled with such wonder
and
 that so works for me!!

  1. such a wonderful description of what is taking place in your "neck of the woods" and alot of the same here. I too can hear the whistle blowing as the boy are practicing for the Friday night game. We had a taste of Fall, the cool crisp air, but our friend here in the South, "Mr. Humidity" has crept back in the door. Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Yes you are right this month does seem to be a combination of things. Our weather here is the same, one day 100 and the next 78; it does tend to confuse one.(-:
