Yellow and Blues

I always stayed with my Grandmother and Papa
in the summer.
Sometimes at their beach house on Galveston Island
and
sometimes in town at their big white home.

I always remember they called me
their
yellow days summer girl.

I love summer
and
hot yellow days filled with blooms and blues.

I am still that summer girl
looking for blooms and blues on these yellow  days.
