Today was the perfect moment to take a ride
down
a country road to buy an orange tree .
You never know what you will find
or
what will have to come home with you at a small town
Farmer's Market .
Along with the perfect orange tree ( oh be still my heart )
new potatoes and fresh green beans
honey
hummus and pita bread
fresh cream and chocolate croisants
came home with me !
Oh ! The Texas Longhorn stayed right where it was !
I wonder what would have come home with you ?
Dottie
Oh that sounds like so much fun! We need our snow to melt and spring to come first! lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to spend the day...did you get the little orange tree?
ReplyDeleteI don't think the farmer's market is even happening in Arizona yet...but will be in a month or two...looking forward to them..
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along! My neighbors two longhorns are about to have their calves, I can't wait!

I think that longhorn has the biggest horns I've ever seen! All the things you mentioned could happily come home with me!! =)
ReplyDeleteDottie, visiting our Farmers market is one of my favorite things to do. Enjoy your orange tree!.And I am looking forward when ours will be full of fresh plants and veggies.

ReplyDeleteDottie, everything would come home with me too - except the orange tree.

It sounds like a perfectly wonderful outing to me, Dottie.
ReplyDeleteI would have brought home what you did.
EXCEPT I would have omitted the green beans and substituted broccoli.
Fun simple pleasure!
I wonder how heavy those horns are, they look cumbersome don't they? Looks like a lovely spring day in your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteOne of the highlights of summer is visiting the farmer's market. Always such fun.
ReplyDeleteWell sister I know what I'd come home with if I visited you at your house and that is Miss Addie. I feel a trip to the Goodwill coming on, cause we're getting all our seed planted by this weekend and someone will need to watch over it. Hugs, Mollye

With green grass and warm weather, it is no telling what I would have brought home.....I love places like that.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what I would have come home with, but I can assure you that it would have been too much. When everything looks so good and fresh it is hard to resist.
