Please Don't Take my Sunshine Away !!

It has rained all but two days in the last two weeks. I like rainy days but I love sunny ones !!!
I  have tried to make these two sunny days pure summer happiness.
The 4th of July was a sunny day and what a joy it was. I didn't know this day would be the last sunny day for a while.

Sunny Day Happiness

Summer whites drying on the clothesline (strung across the pool).

Finding thrift store vintage pillows. I adore thrift shopping !

Making a cozy reading place in my old wicker chaise.

Finding a small flag left out from the 4th. It looks so happy I think I will leave it there.

Watching butterflies dance in the garden.

Making sun tea.

A work in progress in the garden.
A bottle tree in the garden is an old southern tradition.

I have been listening to this new to me lovely music.

I have been trying not to remember that all the rain has made my garden wilt.

Now I am going to read on the deck in the wicker chaise full of vintage pillows, have a glass of sun tea, admire the bottle tree and listen to lovely music after I take the linens off the clothesline.

I have been finding so much to be happy about, I will be alright even if my garden doesn't perk up!

Every morning I wake up saying "Bonjour soleil" and I wish you happy, sunny days too !!

  1. It's nice to have a rainy day...but it's sounds like you've had enough. We could use the rain here. The plants and crops are starting to suffer. You have such a beautiful attitude about life...that's why I love spending time here! Love the pretty music...I posted a video today, too! I know you will like it! Enjoy your evening! ♥

  3. Ha ha I am laughing at the fact that your garden is wilting from the rain and ours is burned up from the sun. Not much to laugh about but better than crying. Happy hugs, Mollye

  10. Maybe we can work on a swap...even the weeds here are crackling under my feet.
It doesn't seem that your spirits are dampened at all! (or, what is it you are putting in your iced tea?)
    Have a great weekend.

  13. Oh my, And we've had less rain than normal. Guess we need to do some trading. In the meantime, I so enjoyed visiting. My senior mom loves gardening and intriguing sites - I'll have to show her your bottle tree and butterflies! :) And what lovely music. Thank you for a delightful Sunday visit.
