I Am Learning

I  am learning to use my camera. My son and his family gave it to me for my birthday. He said it was the simplest one he could find to use. He knows his Mother!! I am not mechanical at all.. I didn't even know  what to look through or which button to push in order to take a picture. I am getting better but I still seem to  move  the camera  when I press the button down!!

Here  are some of the newer pictures I have taken from around my home.

I have had this clock on my mantle for many years.

The dining room table set for a luncheon.

I like fairy tales.

A friend gave me this Royal Winston chintz ware and I treasure it.

I collect  Florence Pottery (the lady figurines) .

I bought this vintage picture of a fairy in an estate sale many years ago. It is in my bedroom.

I love to cook here.

My home

Miss Georgia used to be in my shop. Now she is in my bedroom.

The Blue Willow Ware in my pine hutch . I feel like I need more clarity in my life so I put thc word where I could see it in different places in my home to remind me to apply it to my life. Last year I chose
"enough".

Toys that were my children's when they were small are now in the grandbabies' play room.

I use very little electric light in my home at night. It is so soft and lovely .

I am working very hard at learning to take better pictures. I have much to learn.
I am  trying to take better images of the night sky and the moon.

Soon I hope to take pictures as good as yours!!

  2. I love to take photos but some of them turn out better than others! I think it's a challenge to get the light just right to take photos inside. I love Miss Georgia...how pretty in your bedroom! Your kitchen is beautiful, too! Looks like some sweet toys for the grandbabies...and I love the beautiful painting of the fairy! Thanks for showing me around...I feel right at home! ♥

  4. You're doing great with your camera...such lovely pictures. You must not be too technically challenged since you can download them and post them to your blog!! To me...all that was very overwhelming in the beginning. I love your pictures on your sidebar of your secret reading place and summertime....you have a very peaceful blogspot. I can tell the Lord is close by :)

  5. Dottie, I totally know where you are with the camera situation. I'm learning too. My husband thought I needed one with some bells and whistles a couple of yrs ago but....
I love your blue and white.
thanks for visiting me and commenting tonight. No, that is not my garden. I live in a condo and only have a deck. Hardly anything I post is in my own.

  6. Good evening Dottie,
You do not seem to be a novice at all - You even managed a picture in low light.
Blue Willow is one of my favorite patterns, but I have none. Well I do have one mug - not by any known china maker. On the bottom is stamped USA - probably a give away from some gas station.
    Look forward to more pictures.
