Starlight
I don't believe I have been this cold since I was a child
it really is surprisingly cold
but
the season is... oh so beautiful.
Last night I
traded
the warm wrapped coziness
of
my living room
for
a cold night to stand on the Galveston seawall
glazing
up into the dark skies
counting
shooting star!!!
the constellation Orion and Sirius are in the background
I would have loved sharing stars and desserts on a cold Galveston night with you,my friend
♥
Nope, I will not be going outside tonight. Hahaha... I think it will take one more day to melt the ice away here in Dallas, TX and will be delighted when it has left. However, I do love looking up at the stars - I just prefer it when I am not freezing. Merry Christmas!!

ReplyDeleteI always smile when I see you have posted, and come straight here. Beautiful photos but do stay warm! It's cold here too, for us.
How lovely, I too am a child of warmer climes but viewing your beautiful sky definitely would have been worth the chill.
ReplyDeleteI've sunbathed on the beach in Galveston in February. Rarely very cold except for the wind. Love it down there.
ReplyDeleteOh to be able to see stars like that. This far south and living in a heavily populated area, lights etc. we see few. :-(
ReplyDeleteWinter weather sounds good to me, a wonderful change of pace, as we are still having very warm temps in the 80's.
Thank you for sharing the beauty that surrounds you ~ FlowerLady
I'm sure it was a wonderful sight!
ReplyDeleteWhat a magical evening you had Dottie, sounds so wonderful. And now I have the old song Galveston on a loop :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!
