Summer is quietly turning into fall....
It
slipped away so fast
but
wasn't it lovely?
Oh
so very hot and yet so very lovely !
I gathered
as
many of summer's small moments as my heart could hold
and
tied them with a heartstring
so
I could remember
them
on long cold winter nights.
lovely zinnias
sweetest summer bird count report ever
just so pretty
summer smiles to you
Heartstrings
the things that ... so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart ...
Smiles,
Dottie

You did have a wonderful summer. Didn't Alfie strike the perfect pose? Zinnias are my favorites because they just go like gangbusters then seed themselves for next year.

Happy Fall ~ I hope we will have cooler temps soon, although we've still got September to get through yet and it can be rather hot and humid then.

ReplyDeleteHello Dottie!
DeleteNew Blogger here, just stumbling around trying to find my way in all this fun, and found you! :)
Its hot here in Eagle Idaho, in the 90's day after day..Im done with it, and ready for glorious fall!
But if it werent for summer there would be no Tomatoes hanging on the vine or Black eyed Susans nodding their heads in the sun, right? Love the four Seasons!
Gail
