July

July has been hotter than a firecracker
but
in spite of the heat
filled
with the wonders of summer

lemon mint growing in a tub

Grandpa Ott blooming on the gate

iced coffee in a mermaid cup

doves cooing in the garden

coming upon a painting class while on an olive farm tour (The Lavande Farm)

a twilight  moment driving home from the hill country

I have been storing as much summer magic in my heart as it will hold

to take out

on cold winter eves....
