Rainy Days

We are having rainy days

and

we have been under a severe flood alert

for the last three days.

Alfie dog and I have been watching it rain, rain and rain even more!!!!

To pass the time I have been reading

simmering  a pot of pinto beans on the stove

baking corn bread

 taking photos
and
keeping a close watch on the weather.

Alfie does not know
what he wants to do
one minute
he wants outside to play in the cold rain
and
the next he wants to come inside to take a nap.

It has been raining a very long time

but

Alfie and I are warm, content and safe.
