It's cold, gray and wet outside my windows
and
I am not a cold weather kind of girl
but
I am delightfully warm and cozy inside
looking at the new spring seed catalogs
making potato soup
and
sipping a cup of tea
Early this morning for just a wee moment the sun was shining
and
my sweet Alfie dog and I quickly went outside
to
take photos of my garden.
He discovered he likes cold weather
and
he has been playing outside all day.
We have not had a hard freeze
and
the garden still looks wonderful....
Warm and cozy wishes
Dottie

ReplyDeleteYour garden does look wonderful. This is the time of year when everyone plants because it is the only mild season when plants can actually grow. Sending warm wishes your way for a wonderful new year. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThe peas and cabbage are thriving. That's just two of the things I'm cooking today. Gotta have the green and the good luck peas. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteOh, the peas. Your garden looks great. It is freezing and wet, but like you, the seed catalogs are providing some relief. Happiest new year to you, Dottie.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks amazing! It's hard to believe its so cold when you see the sun on your plants. I'm not sure why I've been missing your posts, but just stopping in to say "stay warm and happy new year!"
ReplyDeleteJust popping in to say Happy New Year ~ and may your garden bloom abundantly all year long.
ReplyDeleteLove the peek of your bottle tree in your garden. Its icy here but no snow sticking (Vancouver BC) so I am not complaining.
