Slowly Following

Ever so slowly I have been

following  after

quiet, simple and beautiful moments

this last week of lovely
April

good morning daffodils

the beauty of a windy day at the beach

 the delightfully cold waves

Oh my ! I wished I could have had a bite of all of them

evening light at dinner time

quiet beauty on my window sill

the moon rising high in the sky at the blue hour

good night

April has been more than I ever imagined....

Beautiful

The sky is so very beautiful and blue today

and

I feel like I could look up into it forever

so

that is exactly what I have been doing

along with

lazily watching the sun slowly move from the east to the west

having extreme zinnia love

thinking about ordering Mexican food to go

wishing I could order a frozen margarita also

listening to the music of a tango

wishing I could dance in the moonlight

tonight

when the stars come out to play

Mmmmm!
Maybe I can make all my beautiful days
into
holidays!!

I Am So Excited....

I am so excited
and
I just can't hide it......

 my spring garden is planted

Miss Addie has a new blue hat

the herb garden is knee deep in Oregano

the Angel Trumpet is is in full bloom
(last night I counted over one hundred)

there's a new baby dove in the dove cote

after singing to me all winter "We promise to be beautiful"
the Begonia plants I grew from cuttings really are

flips -flops
and
hot pink polish on my tootsies

mangoes on sale for two for a dollar

soon it will be time to run in the warm ocean waves
and
float down the Guadalupe  River.

I  am excited most of all because it is warm
and
I am a warm weather kind of girl!!!

This Week

 This week......
I

followed a country road all the way to the seacoast

was delighted by the cute baby goats I saw along the way

watched the shrimp boats as they trawled very close to the shore

wished I could of eaten more at the Sunday Champagne Brunch..sigh

wanted so to linger in the twilight

wondered if I really need an Easter basket

decided yes I do

gazed from my bedroom window at the large, bright, round, full moon
all through the night

anticipated watching the sunrise from the garden swing on Easter Sunday

thought about how much I love Jesus
and
how much He loves me and you.

 Smiles,
Dottie
