Tonight it is very cold, damp and miserable outside
but
inside it is cozy,warm
and
oh so wonderful!
The candles are flicking, the dishwasher is humming
and
there is one more piece of pecan pie.
I have been thinking about how very soon old man winter will
arrive
for his long visit!
I dislike being cold and I am a stay at home kind of girl
so
so
tonight I am making a list
of
some of my favorite movies to add
to
my Netflix queue
to watch on long cold winter evenings wrapped in my grandmother's quilt.
Some of my favorites are
Camelot
Anna and The King
Out Of Africa
Ryan's Daughter
Something's Gotta Give
The Princess Bride
Practical Magic
The Piano
White Christmas
What are some of your favorites?
Smiles,
Dottie
♥
Your list fits my likes perfectly.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Australia? It is long and wonderful.
I watched August Rush while cooking last week, it has become one of my favorites.
You can't go wrong with Camelot....I love singing along. Now you have me singing....a law was made a distant moon ago........
Dear Dottie,
ReplyDeleteI love your list of movies; I haven't seen some of them, so I'll have to put them on my "must watch" list. I love watching "Little Women" this time of year, as well as "Wives and Daughters" and "Cranford".
Love,
Marqueta
I still haven't seen The Princess Bride and I just know I need to! I love many of these same ones, Dottie. I was trying to remember the name of one that Nicole Kidman was in about a sheep farm in Australia. It was such a good, clean movie. I went to the show all by myself to see it and loved it. I think it is one you would enjoy, too. I'll try to remember what the name of it was. :/
ReplyDeleteI know you miss your Little Ones...
Blessings to you and enjoy that last piece of pecan pie. {{hugs}} tanna
