Last night our first cold front
blew
in on the shirt tails of a brisk north wind
filled with cold raindrops
and
blew all the mosquitos away!!!
I dislike cold weather
but
I dislike mosquitos even more.
I dislike mosquitos even more.
Earlier in the week my garden looked like summer
filled
with blooming summer colors
and
butterflies.
and
butterflies.
This morning when I looked
out
of the French doors
I found a gray, damp and gloomy day outside
but
I live in a pink and white world inside my house!
I started thinking about comfort food
because
even when you live in a pink and white world inside
comfort food sounds very good when the world is gray outside.

Tuesday I shared my sweet friend's birthday with her.
We toasted her special day in a French restaurant, practiced our French
and
even ordered Escargot!!!
It is almost the end of October
so
displayed some of my vintage Halloween decorations from my collection
and
filled a bowl with salted peanuts and candy corn
for
Oh Bittersweet October!!
There have been many sweet moments in this last week .
