Addie and the Greens

This is lovely Addie dressed in her winter finery faithfully watching over the greens in my garden on a cold winter's day.

What do you grow in your winter garden?

Salad Greens

Collard Greens

Smothered Collards
2 T..........Olive Oil
3/4 Cup...chopped Onions
1 T...........minced or chopped Garlic
8 Cups.....chopped Collard Greens
2 T..........Apple Cider Vinegar
Salt and Pepper to taste

Heat the oil, add the onion and garlic and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Add greens and cover for 5 minutes to wilt, then cook over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
Sprinkle with vinegar, season, stir and serve.
Yum yum !!
