Spring Where Are You

Spring where are you?
 Quit teasing me!!

For a few days we had springtime weather.
I opened my windows
and
hung my linens on the clothesline to dry in the soft breeze.
It was heavenly
but
sometime during the night
it flitted away like a butterfly
and
winter returned!!!

Oh Well!!!

I am learning to live in the moment
and
at this moment

I am puppy dog sitting the most charming little Yorkie
while his mommy is out of town!
He is has been the very best of company.
Maybe I will just keep him!!
Just kidding.......

I have been feeling so chilled since the weather turned
so damp and dreary again.
My Grandmother used to tell me when I was a child
she was chilled to the bone!
I always wondered what she meant .
 Now I think I know!
I thought I would feel this way the rest of winter
until
a friend took me to dinner at Shamiana.
The moment I opened the door I felt instantly warmed
by
the colors, aromas and music
and
I promise Indian food will keep you warm for days!
I may have to go there every day!

I have been thinking about this scripture in

Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

Benji
Shamiana (wedding tents)
entryway

very warm fish curry

I have also been thinking about this scripture

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I may need to lean upon the strength of this scripture
to
help me through this season of winter!!!

  2. Adorable doggie, I can see you might want to keep him. We ate at a local Indian restaurant this weekend where we always choose the vegetarian buffet. Yum.

  3. It has been such a strange winter with no pattern, I stick my head out the door in my pjs each morning to get an idea of what to wear. My sweaters have barely been used,. But I did enjoy the cold and rain yesterday.

I've noticed that I feel chilled too and it's not that cold out. Seems like after a warm day cool feels so cold!

  12. Benji is adorable. I am puppy sitting for my son. Our granddog is a daschund and a real treat.
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. My dog as a child was named "Trigger". Not Bullet but trigger. Guess I was really wishing for a horse.
    Have a great weekend, Ginger
