Just Dottie

I like things that are bright, shiny
and
reflect the light at Christmas time.

I make beeswax candles, read cookbooks, have extreme grandbaby love,
like listening to the howl of the wind, running in waves of the ocean, can recognize almost all the bird songs
and
address the constellations in the night sky as old friends!

I  grow my own vegetables to make into comfort food at this time of year.

I live a quiet and a simple life.

Reading your blog, my sweet friend, has greatly enriched it.

Hugs,

Dottie

  1. Oh Ms. Dottie, I love your cute little tree and all the blue in the background. Guess what, the wind is my friend, I like to listen and walk in it. Richard from My Old Historic House.

  2. What a lovely, lovely post. A few years back I had a little blue and white decorated tree like yours in my dining room, I love it and I love yours too.

Thank you for the lovely thoughts and photos; I love your blue and silver tree, and the home-grown food is wonderful, isn't it? The best things in life are the simple things!

  8. i LOVE your bowl of the silver balls against the blue background. They are wonderful and I want to duplicate it here at the house. I love blue anyway. Your comfort food shots are to die for...yummy. We have NEVER been able to grow carrots worth a hoot. Potatoes, yes, but not carrots. That has disappointed me terribly. Hope you are having a nice week. genie

  9. Believe it or not I thought of you the other night when we had a full moon and I attempted to photograph it! I love all your blue and white, with the silver balls, and the veggies! Looks so good. Have a wonderful weekend.

  10. Your blue willow makes a lovely Christmas setting. I have a few blue willow salad plates that I enjoy pairing with my white china.
Have you ever shared on your blog the directions for any of the things you love to do - such as the beeswax candles? I read through some directions that made it seem too difficult. Perhaps it is.
Thank you for dropping by, and noticing that I have not been around. I have been and am very busy.
    Have a joyous Christmas.
